Ignition Barrel Required?

This is my first post on this board. I've been seraching everywhere for a new Ignition Barrel for 907ie.

Someone TRIED to steal it some months ago, bascially hacking up the barrel. Does anyone know where to get a new Barrel either original OR aftermarket/equivalent?

Any Help Appreciated

Juan

Not the ECU?

If it's so, sometimes the locks appear on ebay.
Besides, a good craftsman can easily rebuild it.

Or maybe he mean those 907 ignition MODULES? If so, then there are available spare parts from car spare part shops. I remember seen some post of that and i have also bough one spare one for me about 5 years ago. I can look details, if he needs? :smoke:

Hey Guys,

Yes I meant the bit where the key is put in. It's been pretty mashed up by an idiot with a screwdriver.

Thanks for the ebay links btw. The first one was for a superbike ignition set. It would be great if it was the same as for the 907ie. Does anyone know if they are compatible. Other wise the other one is second hand, but a perfect match.

Getting closer to success

(fingers crossed)

Here in the USA that's called the ignition switch. Calling it a "barrel" is a kind of slang term.

thinking of it (and checking the dictionary :) barrel is actually the correct word. It`s not the complete key switch that is broken but mainly the upper part. The dictionary says closing cylinder, cylinder lock, key cylinder, lock barrel, lock cylinder. Maybe that is used more for door locks than for bikes & cars ... whatever :)

even in the us the outer part is the barrel, the inner part that turns is the cylinder.Anyone know if a 906 barrel or cylinder will fit a 907.
