"After 20 years in the motorcycle industry, UltiMap (also known as FIM or Fuel Injected Motorcycles) has ceased manufacturing."

wow...didn't expect that...

I have the original FIM 907ie chip and a later version "piggy-back" type..
He also made a Duc 907 "standard" copy for me to test.

sorry to see FIM drop support for the older machines...

I checked FastbyFerracci, they still had the 907 chip listed.
MyECU is also an option, not as easy as chip, though...

I can make those Ferracci chips, if someone need them. But only for resonable price.

It's not so hard finding and burning the eproms, but the main thing is knowing what kind of eprom is...
No matter, I already have two kinds of burners.

ok here is a pic of the eproms needed.......
and i found 2 files in my computer(1)907 custom chip and (1)907 euro chip, both of these are .obj files but when viewed in notepad seem to be hexidecimal code so i think the process was change the file extention to .bin and burn to an eprom....i got these off the net a few years ago and never did anything with them but if someone wants them let me know

As they seem to be custom chips, they are quite useless, if u dont know, what mods have done to bike(from where are those).... Anyway U can try them in bike and i quess, that nothing very bad cant happen... better dyno bike with those and see, what is best one... ;)

yea i am not sure of the programming on the custom chip......i thought i had the FIM copy but that is the picture i found and the file name of the actual .obj file matches the "custom chip" labeling so again..i am not sure but hey it might be for just slipons and/or airbox mods etc.....

but if anyone wants to play around there it is............

if i can find a couple of the blank eproms i might try to get a eprom burner/programmer and try it later....cant right now as i just bought a 1995 softtail project bike and its gonna take up most of my time/money for the next couple of months.

FBF chip maybe not so good:
Apparently FBF uses the "some is good, more is better" approach to
engineering (if you call it that) their EPROMS. On the Duc EFI systems the
CPU basically does a series of table lookups. On the 907's 6801 based
processor these table lookups produce an injector values from 0-255 to
indicate how long to open the injector -- for a richer mixture, they just
spray for a longer time, for leaner, a shorter time.
According to Duane at
Fuel Injected Motorcycles, all that FBF did was to do an across-the-board
bump of all of the values in the table. He claims that if you look at the
table lookup outputs a lot of the time under acceleration you'll see 0xff
[maximum value] outputs when that is really not appropriate based on an
exhaust gas analyzer. The upshot of this is that the bike tends to run
richer and mileage suffers. According to him he does his EPROM tables with
a brake dyno and EG analyzer setup.
When running with the FBF chip, too
rich is what seemed to be happening. It wasn't uselessly too rich but it
was noticeable. Side effects of the too-rich settings, however, are carbon
build up in the exhaust and crappy mileage.

As You know, FIM fighted from same markets, as FBF, so its nothing new, that FIM "try" blackpoint little FBF.... Normal in business world.....
