2.5 Years of shutdown, now back to service...

I am about to buy a 906 Paso which has been still standing for ~ 2.5 years. What are the most delicate things to look at, check or replace amongst the normal cleaning, oil change, spurk plugs, tyres etc? Things that are special about this Ducati(s) over other bikes (so far my mechanical experience is based on Japanese bikes...).

Service Records. (valve adjust and belts replacement)
Condition and Make of tires
Electrical system. Inspect closely for originality and melted connectors. All repairable/rebuildable.
Clutch bearing and pin.
Case in front of sprocket.
Seized eccentric clamps on swingarm.
ignition switch working properly.
Oil hoses going to coolers.
there are some threads from new members buying or just having bought a Paso with this info. After what you already mentioned, the next would be valve adjustment & new belts, then check the complete electrics and clean all ground connections. After that clean carb, ensure that there are no air leaks and that the carb is synchronized properly.
To the list above I would add checking the steering bearings, change brake and clutch fluids, check the clutch discs, change fork oil (oil and dust seals if dried out or leaking), check that bolts of swingarm excenters and sprocket are tight, if there`s rust in the tank ...

But, remember after 2,5 year you NEED to change the belts.
