All have the recommended 19Ah/12V?
No starting/turning over/charging troubles?
And you, Antti, our electric expert

, what battery do you prefer & any opinion about ACC (cranking power)?

Earlier i used those cheaper batteries, but lifetime was about maximum 3 years. Then i changed to YUASA YB 16-B and that least longer, but its also more expensive. I have now 4 year old YUASA and it function very well still, but i keep it in clever charger (Benton BX-1) normally quite often. i think, that clever charger is very good investment. Anyway batteries have "good ones" and "bad ones" no matter what brand it is. Its normall to batteries... one time lucky one time not so....

Hi Gert -- I wanted a sealed battery and read about the PC535 on this forum, then read the info at batterymart.com and was convinced. It's a little smaller than the battery box, so you can see the hunk off old radiator hose jammed in there, as mentioned in another thread, with blocks of rubber on the two sides. It is still big enough so that it sits on the rubber pads at the base of the box. Positive terminal cover is a section of bicycle inner tube.
HTH!

Yuasa YB 16-B on older 907 and a cheap unit on the newer 907.
I disconnect the battery every time I think do not use the bikes for more than 2/3 weeks.
I have also an Accumate charger which I never used keeping on the bikes.
No matter, the next batteries will be the Odyssey.
Ciao

Hi Gert and Paso Fans,
I use a Deka ETX16 with a CCA of 275. It is a maintenance free seal acid battery with abscorbed mat technology – what ever that means. It has the positive terminal on the correct side.
It works well all through winter with out needing a re-charge or top up. Heaps of cranking power. Not that my 907 needs much cranking, it seems to start like clock work.
I went to a sealed battery, because I was finding small white stains on the swing arm and back wheel (bare aluminium). In the end I found there was a slight dribble coming from the battery breather hose. Must have come out when cranked right over on those fast left handers! - probably more like too much fluid.
So I would get my rags and polish them out. But I thought I would rather be riding it instead!
Anyway the battery was old and weak so I replaced with the above mention one and haven`t looked back.

When I need a battery for my 907 I take it to my local Harley dealer and let them match it up with an AGM for a... Softail? I'm not sure what mopdel it is, but it's an AGM and costs about $70 (2-3 years ago). Exact same size as the stock battery. Much more robust than a flooded acid type battery.
I still manage to kill them pretty regularly though (every couple years) mainly because I don't ride the bike much and I'm not the best at preventative maintanence...

I use an Optimate on my bike(s) alternating them every couple of days ( no pun intended! ) - which keeps them in near perfect condition. The clock and the alarm drain the 907's battery after about 10 days and once drained (dead) most batteries will not fully recover.
My other bike is a Triumph Sprint 955 and last up to 6 weeks without a charge !! British electrics!!
