All right I know its not a Paso but my brother in law is looking at the Ducati Indiana.

Anybody know anything about these bikes. Good points/bad points.

But yeah, they definitely weren't well-received back in their day. I've seen it described as one of Cagiva's "short-lived" and "horrendous" models ... Ducati's attempt at entering the States' cruiser market, with an under-powered (53hp @ 7k rpm for the 650 & 750), half-sized cruiser. Which is it? A 350, 650 or a 750? Or maybe even a police model? Tell me color and a year, I can tell you how many of them there are ...

Definately not a Ducati highlight. You think some people bag the paso because it is fully inclosed & does not have a trellis frame. Most don't even acknowledge the Indiana. Never made it to Oz though so I have never seen or ridden so wont comment on such. If he has his heart set on it tell him to go for it. A poorly designed & executed Ducati is still a Ducati

And there's only about 2300 or so in existence, period. At least, there were .... who knows where they've turned up ...

Man ... could they put a little more space between the rear tire & the fender? I won't even call it a hugger, 'cuz it's only hugging air! :laugh:

But hey, that info helps, so I will check and see how many of those were made. The '89s only came in silver and black - and a police version (of which I think there were like 3).

I think the guy on ebay must think that his bike is really popular because of all the hits on the page. Meanwhile it is all the Paso owners having a look to see how ugly it is...

Of all the Indiana models (350, 650, 750) there were only 2,318 in production. All this according to Falloon's "Standard Catalog of Ducati Motorcycles"

just remember guys and girls,beauty is in the eyes of the guy holding the keys. it's pissed me off for decades these hardley wanna bee's who can't afford one but don't ride nuttin'! they must really think they're KOOL walking down the street!!! if it's got 2 wheels and ducati on the engine it can't be all bad. i remember 20-25 yrs ago looking at a sales brochure of a 860 gt and thinking what kind of hillbilly would want one of those god awful ugly things? and ya never know, look at the price of crockers now and there were less the 100 reported to be built.it could just be a collector bike that can be used and enjoyed, especially if the price is right. hell, i know someone who just brought home a 250 monza for crying out loud (poor hillbilly).

if you think it's hard finding Paso specific parts, try an Indiana.
i looked at one, as well as an Alazzura...

just say no unless your friend wants something really unique that's impossible to get parts for.

He wanted as a daily ride, untill I told him about the spares or lack of. He also like tha fact that it was differant.
Sold for £1800 and no not to him.
