Do you hear some "click" noise when you push the button?
If you don't hear anything it will be the relay.
The connections go easily rusty, so that you have to clean them.
On 907s the relay (Hitachi) is back to the right fairing.

good news!! checked the relay and it was receiving power. followed the wire to where it connects to the starter, the bolt was really loose... cleaned the contact area well and tightend it back up.... it fired right up!!!! i was worried that it was the starter, that wouldve finished me for the season. thanx for steering me in the right direction pooh bah!!!

Happy to hear you solved the problem.
The same issue happened to me, too and I found rusty connections on the starter.
I'm not so skilled about mechanic/electric stuff but, having got Pasos since 1993 (or 1994? I'm growing old), I do know many issues about

Can anyone tell me where and how do I get to the starter on my 750 Paso ? Bike wont start, new battery, I hear a clicking sound and when I push it it will start if I pop the clutch on 3rd gear ! Should I be aware of anything other than the starter gone ?
Thanks

have you tried to toggle the emergency engine ON-OFF switch while pressing the starter button ? Also you can try to connect both contacts of the starter solenoid. If the starter still doesn`t react it`s really it. You won`t need a new one though. The brushes can be changed (you`ll find infos in the forum). If it starts to trurn over the starter solenoid needs to be replaced/repaired.

There are a few reasons for the 75- being difficult to start. Try this test:

Key on
Kill switch to OFF
Press started button.

Does it crank then?

You may just have low voltage problems that can be fixed.
