Hi folks:

My 907 master brake cylinder (front) is leaking. Is it worth it to get a rebuild kit or just buy another one online? Also is this a good time to upgrade, or should I look for a vintage correct item? Your advice would be appreciated.

Also where could I get such a thing?

Thanks
Sheldon

The braking of the 907 is good enough and wouldn't need any upgrade.
For those master cylinders is still available the overhauling kit from Brembo, so that you could rebuilt yours quite easily.
No matter, if you would like improve the braking power, you can fit some radial master cylinders, like the 999's ones which fit very well on 907.
I would repair the stock one (the 907 is going to be a good vintage bike and it would be worth keeping all the stock parts) AND fit a radial one which you'd manage to find for a few bucks.
Ciao

I replaced mine earlier this year. Bought it new from Yoyodyne. Correct Brembo with new lever and brake light switch for about $100 delivered

Thanks for the info folks. I think I'l rebuild. Bevelheaven says both the 12 and 15mm are rectangular. How do I know which I have and what does the measurement refer to?

Thanks
Sheldon

The 907's front master cylinder is 16 mm., so you need the 16 mm one.
