the 276 is in a strechted circle ? Then it`s calenderweek 27 of 1996
DOT numbers of tires produced after the year 2000 have a 4 digit code. The first two is always the calender week. 3 digit codes with a triangle right to it were from the 90s, without production was in the 80s.

Ok so June of 1996.... Thanks so much. I'm glad the PO who gave this to me kept it sealed up in a bag in his cellar as it still looks like new. If I had a good rear it'd go on the bike, but I'm switching it over to the Shinko 16" tires both front and rear.

The sizes are different, but my wife kinda likes the Podium she is trying out on the rear of her GSXR (180/55-17). Traction is pretty good and it does well in the wet. If the front Podium is anything like the profile of the Stealth that she is running, it may work fairly well with the Paso, but it isn't the best on her GSXR. The profile on the front of most of the Shinko tires seems to be more of a flat "U" profile compared to the other brands we've run (and a 120/70-17 size) with more of a "V" profile. With the stock 120/60-16 of the Paso being more of a "U" profile, the Shinko may work well with a Paso.
Let us know how the combination seems to work when you mount them on the bike.
