I just replaced that rubber piece in front of the rear wheel.... with another piece of rubber... The old one had dried out. But it still looks very cheap.

Has anyone found/made a nicer solution for that gap between shock and rear wheel?

I have the black rubber peice there but it is not secured at teh bottom so I have had no cracks from drying & no rubbish is getting past it. You could try some shoe polish to keep it moist but it will collect the dirt. Maybe some tyre black will help?

I cut a piece of ribbed rubber from a toolbox drawer liner the same size as the original and it doesn't look too bad.
