parts from 907

Post by hellogrish »

hello there,

I`ve got some terrible crush accident last year riding my Paso
it`s completely destroyed, now I`m thinking about buying new one

there is one bike in Poland, but all plastics are in bad conditions
(and mirrors are from Cagiva, which looks really terrible :)

I can buy plastics from 907 - will they fit?

- 2 mirrors
- 2 big plastics
- one "Fairing right"
- the front one (you know, the one that holds mirrors :)

all that 330 euro, is it good price?

cheers
greg

I havent ever tried, no matter i have both 750 and 907, but i quess that they dont fit, as 750 have those oil coolers and 907 have radiator in front of engine. They have many other differences in fairings... Anyway price is ok, if they are in good shape, but if broken, then need fiberglass work and new painting and then it will be quite expensive.... Expect if You can do fiberglass works and paint them... Try to look Paso 750 fairings from Ebay, as they seem to be for sale sometimes... One possibility is to buy one 750 Paso for spare parts and rebuilt one bike from all parts to such frame what have papers... Used 750 Paso is now quite cheap, as there is that "tire problem".... When its solved, they prices start to rise up again.... :smoke:

mirrors will fit.
A friend of mine put a P750 fairing on his 906. It required some modifications but it was possible, so the other way around it should be possible, too but it will definitely require some work.

SUCH should NOT be any problem, as Poland is just samekind EU country, as UK ! No any problems to send stuff between 2 EU countries(only "shipping" coasts)... :) I know one nice guy from Manchester, who can maybe help You... His name was.....let me think little.... "englishstiv"

Can You make "EU money transfer" from Your bank account to another EU bank account? I think, You can.... easily!

Hi there Englishstiv here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am working away from home for a few days so may not be at the computer for a few days. If you find some parts on ebay that sort your problem out I will assist in any way I can. All I ask is that I don't have to fund your purchase, postage, delivery in any way.

My time and assistance is though offered free :) :)

The side panel that is on ebay is I think quite badly damaged, certainly compared with many that do come up on UK ebay which is actually quite frequent nowadays.

Postage to me would be in the region of £18.00 to me from the seller according to his calculations and then what ever to you in Poland??????

It would be best if your source all the parts you require and we group and pack in one lump for postage/delivery.

let me know what you intend to do.

Finnpaso, no, its not the same, its wild wild west ;)

thanks englishstiv!

what do you mean by badly damaged?
what I want to do is to buy some plastics for Paso and to have it painted immediately
(so I think some scratches is not a problem as it will be repaired by painter - the colour will
be white by the way ;))

so do you say it will be better if all parts (from different sources) will be sent to you,
and then you can pack it and send to Poland? (Cracow)

what do you think about this one:

isn`t 2000 euro a liitle bit too much?

The panel has a fairly large chunk out of the front lipped edge, that is not a quick job for a painter to repair.

the German panels are much nicer

>>I havent seen anywhere so dangerous traffic as in Poland

so I can say - you have never been to Russia ;)
I`m going to come to Russia this year (it will be 6th time) but for whole year (12months)
and I`m thinking whether to take the bike with myself or not
(just wondering how dangerous it could be riding russia streets;p)

by the way, do you guys also think that Paso is not very good bike for stealing? ;)

I have been in Russia also and i would say that there it is just same level as close Warsaw... .... When i talk about this "thing" i meant EU area!!(not Russia, or Thailand, China, etc...) Russia is not EU country and there are surely also totally different "rules" in traffic.... AS You also know, they try to homolocate ALSO traffic rules in whole EU area, as, u should know WHY they made EU...   Do U Polish want to be in EU, or Russia? I think, u have only one possibility.... ok, u have also that another

You need in Russia just SAMEKIND protections against stealing bike as in Poland... I wish plenty luck to You if U are going to Russia for 12 monthes
