Fuel pump replacement

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum.
Since my fuel pump has died, I took it out of the tank to replace it. I am going to look for the BOSCH replacement pump. Now I have 2 questions:
- where can I get the nylon filter for it (on the left of the picture)?
- how does this nylon filter mount to the pump? Does the rubberpiece go inside of it?

Is the real fuelfilter (the metalcan) still available?

best regards

Wolfgang

I was going to by mine here, but bought one from NAPA instead, but wish I would have gotten this one instead. The NAPA works, but when all was said and done, I really didn't save any money and spent a lot of time . I did by the strainer from Euro Moto though.

The strainer fits over the bottom of the pump and into the groove on the rubber piece

Hi!

You should read this first:

http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1601

I bought same (*...*999)Bosch fuel pump and i take that coarse filter from my old pump, as it was in good shape.... Remembering, that coast was about 170€ few years ago... here in Finland.

I quess, that very difficult to find such filter from aftermarkets, but have U asked from Ducati dealer???

Original coarse filter ordering number is: 42710011A (Ducati dealer), so ask from there first, as such cant be very expensive, but dont be dissapointed, if they cant anymore supply such old spare parts, as Ducati have 10 year "quarantee" to supply spare parts, not longer!

Anyway: Welcome to worlds best Paso sites!

The pump kit is Part #: FP-576KIT

It is the last pump on the first page. I bought the strainer and a fuel pressure regulator from them, and they were exact replacement for the 907ie.

I use to have a 1985 BMW K100RT and the same fuel pump was used in it as well as the 907. I have had them both out and they pretty much are the same. There use to be a site that listed all the parts for the 907 that where interchangable and the same parts for other vehicles, cars and motorcycles. I seem to remember the fuel pump being the same as that on a Euro spec car that was quite common, like a Ford of some kind. I'll look for that site and see if I can find it. Maybe someone remembers the site.

See the 907 technical faq

The pumps are available new in the UK

The filter is the same as on a BMW K100/1100
