Dead ignition pickup

I hate to ask for help from a forum that I've contributed nothing to, but here goes:
I've got an open induction pickup on my '87 Paso and I haven't been able to find an OEM replacement (kokusan) or an aftermarket mfg. I've read on other forums that the '90 900SS uses the same pickup, but I haven't been able to confirm that.
Do any of the members here know of a readily available source for replacement pickups, or a complete aftermarket ignition system for an '87 750 Paso?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks All

as far as I know the pick-ups on all Ducs using a Kokusan ignition are the same. For sure on all with Pantah engines up to 91. These were the small square shaped ones. Here`re some that look alike:

Newer Ducs and Ducs with Marelli ignition use the long round ones, like in the 906.

The only complete ignition set I know of is from Silent Hektik (Germany). While it says the ignition has 16 programmable curves one must know that there are only 4 that are relevant as 8 are for 600/750 engines and 8 for 900cc engines. From these 8 each there`re 4 curves for standard engines and 4 for dual spark (converted) engines. SH sell pickups only also. (€147 the set)

Looking close at the pic on ebay again the right cable is not a yellow/black but a yellow and a black one. It just can`t be seen very good. The otherone should then be red and white. So this one should do just fine.

Thank you for the date-range info and e-bay list.

I have been looking on e-bay, but I hadn't seen a set until your post today.
Since my (premature) post asking for help I have contacted 2 shops in my area who said they typically keep a set in stock (both were out and waiting for delivery when I called) where they charge $225 - $260US for a set without the bracket.
$75U.S.(+$10 shipping) is a lot cheaper of course, but I do believe in supporting local businesses, especially those that support
my interests. At this point the money I would save on a used set (that's nearly 20yrs old that could fail at any time) is not worth the time lost riding.
I do like to save a buck, but as I get older, I find time is more important!
Thanks again.

http://www.ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm has pickups & ignition module f Ducati w Kokusan.
Look up Products.
The TCI-P4 works very well w default Ducati Kokusan map on a Paso 750.
It is also cheap and gives better performance than Kokusan.
http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/pick-up- ... 918-0.html also sells what seems as the same pickups.

Yup. I can order them from Electrexworld for as much as $160 U.S. less than buying them from my local shop (Desmoto Sport), but he's got to make a living too. At this point I'm committed to buying them from him. I should have looked around a little more, but he takes time with his customers and is willing to show you the little details that only an experienced Duc mechanic would know. Plus, he's a very pleasant guy.

Sounds like all the good reasons to support your local supplier!
