front fork assembly

Post by viccie »

I disassembled my front fork today to put in new oil and replace the seal ring. However I can't get the fork assembled again :D
On the bottom there is this screw which needs to be removed to remove the tube from the sleeve. But I can't tighten it again. When I put it in, there is something inside that moves along when I try to tighten the screw. Any hints on how I should fix this?

On a side note: what is the proper way to remove the old seal ring from the sleeve? I managed to get it out but it I was wondering if there is an easy way to do it.
