there are some on ebay UK. But as beat as they look they`re probably not worth the money if you had to ship to the states

(Norman, maybe for your next MOT ?

Oi G behave yourself!!! Those are mine and they ain't that bad looking either especially when considering some I've seen and that dent could be pulled with a little heat or welded over.
Having said that though they would be way too expensive weight wise to ship sate side unless you were really desperate.
I also have an original old mirror on there which came with my bike and an interesting repair was made with it by a previous owner probably the same time the exhausts got scratched up. The 906 front guard is fairly decent though and guaranteed a lot cheaper than most I've seen on ebay recently as a start price.
I was gonna post them on here but as you've highlighted them I'll leave the link on this thread.

Here`re some modified ones if you`d like to change them

Are those stainless covers? The ones I need have aluminum covers. I actually only need a cover. The muffler itself is in good condition. A friend of mine recently grabbed a handful of brake on the 907 and went down on the left side removing some of the cover. I could fix it but my thoughts are if I could find a complete muffler to replace the damaged one I could take the damaged one apart to see what would be involved in coring it.. I prefer the look of the stock exhaust to every other system I have seen but they are a little to quiet for my taste.

Mine are stainless, the one shown by Duc906 is the type you require if it's aluminum you are after they are also found on the early Monsters.
With respect to de-coring I did this with a 96 Monster 600 I had for a while, I actually made it a 2 into 1 and shortened the length of the silencer as well. The problem you have with these type of standard Ducati Silencers is that they are welded at the front and back internally so you would need to clean cut at the front and back end of the baffle de-core and then re weld both ends together, if you make a neat job you can also adjust so you can slip the baffle back in. I realised this after I had cut mine in half.
I kept the ones now for sale as I was going to do the same myself and also sort the dent out in the body but then I luckily found a brand new unused set to play with.
Here is what my monster ended up like as you can see I cut the outer plate so that all the Ducati spec data was still visible.
Sorry but for some reason the 1st photobucket image is a bit to big even though I had tried to sort it --------moderators can you fix it?

you mean from the second auction ? It`s shown on one of the pics.
Sorry, i don`t know if there are indeed differences in the silencers.
If so it can`t be much as the headers have the same output diameter. The frames are basically the same as are the footpeg brackets. So it could only be a different inner or outer diameter. I`d guess the internal design would be the same.

ZDM-B02 arrived today and is on. All is cool and is Identical.
Tomorrow or the next day(or maybe the day after

) I will take the scratched cover off the original and cut the end cone off to see what's involved in coring it.Then decide to stick it out with the coring or clean up the F1'S or refab the Staintunes or just start from scratch.

I had a friend weld my OEM 907 mufflers to be straight flowing, cut away diffusion chamber etc.
Too little opening straight through, I guess, quite lame sound & performance.
Not worth the trouble IMHO.
F1 easy to work with but go w the Stayintunes, looks better.

Both sets need alot of work
I am actually thinking about putting the internals of the F1's in the stock cans and just opening up the stock end cap to its outer ring
