Good PASO mechanic in Italy needed
Good PASO mechanic in Italy needed
hello fellow paso lovers, I am from Greece, name is Peter and have a big problem with my '88 PASO 750. Here in Greece nobody can really service her, so she has ended up almost unable to ride.
My WEBER was ruined by the local mechanics, and after I converted to MIKUNI'S it is the same thing. Can not go over 4000 revs..
I wonder if any of the Italian friends could help me out, reccomending a good service shop in Italy. I will be in Italy after June 27th, so if you can get me in contact with a good mechanic it would be great!! I just want to finish this 4year trouble for me and the bike, so please recommend me somebody who really knows and cares about our PASOs. I will be in the Toscana area with my bike, but will go anywhere if nesseccary. Waiting for a reply, as soon as possible, please
thank you

Peter - sorry to hear about the Paso - that stinks. Hope you can find a suitable mechanic to tune her up nice!
Are you subscribed to the yahoo group mailing list? There's a pretty large (international!) group who subscribe to that and that gets a lot of traffic as well - you might consider subscribing if you haven't, and post your question there as well!
Good luck!

Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.

I live in Italy, but it'difficult even for me to find a good service for Paso. Usually they are more specialized on more recent models and don't like to work on "Paso troubles", because spare parts are difficult to find and it takes a lot of time to delivery them.
However, you know that on ducati.com there is a list of all the official services worldwide:

Good luck!

help finding
hi sv2! had you found the trouble in your paso?
back again..
hi again boys,
sorry for not being able to get online for a while.
thanx for all your help and consideration.
No, unfortunately, nothing on my bike was fixed in Italy.
However, I believe it is mostly my fault, should have arranged things earlier and given the mechanic more time to work with her. At least they installed a new back tire. I will try again next year.
Maybe one of these days I could upload a photo of her for you to see.
Thanx again.
Ta da..!!

Hello sv2dfu,
since i've had much troubles on Mikuni @ 906, maybe i could help you a bit if you are "able" and "willing" to "turn screws" by yourself?
Pls., if you like, send me an eMail to olaf(at)ducster.de, telling me all the symptoms and facts concerning the changes you've made.
i.E. type of carbs, jetting, airbox, intakes and so on.
Maybe some Pics will help.
