I am taking a survey, I am giving thought to doing a Tri Color paint job on my 88 Paso.
I am curious as to how this is received by the Paso community at large?
Any feedback would be helpful.

The largest part of the paso fans on this site, will tell you "DO NOT" But I think that my "not OEM paint" is the best I could wish... So, I cannot tell you the same thing... Do what you feel to, but don't forget this might be for quite a long time

Thanks for the input and the help.
My feeling is that at this point the 750 Paso is like the 246 Dino. When produced and for years afterwards no one cared. But when the 308 came out you would have thought that Ferrari had parted the Red Sea!...Everyone loved it. Well now you can buy a 308 for 25k-40K....The 246 Dino? how about 240K!
My point is at this time these bikes have no real collecter value. And its just paint. Easy to put back to orginal if there is ever a time it makes sense.
So make it something that maybe the factory should have done.
To be honest I have looked at all the stock colors and I am not crazy about any of them. And I have never been a big fan of red. That's just me.
I am also considering Fly Yellow!...Of course you are talking to the guy who went into a Ducati dealership in November of 1992 to look at buying a used Paso for about $3,500 bucks and walked out with a brand new 1993 900 Superlight! at three times the cost! Go figure!......lol.
To bad you cant the the wheels from those Superlights That would be a wheel conversion I could get behind.
Anyways,
Thanks guys!

I love most of Ducati's tricolore bikes. The last one on the string on that link I think is good. Some of those others, maybe not so much. the 851 tricolore was one of the best I think.
Is it true that Ducati did every major model in a tricolore at one time or another?
Cheers,
Phil

Well for my part I am a huge fan of the Hailwood Rep and for my rebuild I am going down that colour route because the bike is being rebuilt by me and for my pleasure, it will also be easy to return to original spec. As long as the colours follow the lines of the bodywork and enhance the road/speed look of the bike and not use it as a picture frame........if you understand my meaning

then for me you are doing the right thing.......it is though as we say here in the UK like "Marmite" You love it or you Hate it, there is no middle ground which is just like the Ducati Paso in the Ducati Community.
