Okay have been searching through the Forum and trying get an idea on some paint codes as I have finally nearly got my bike ready for painting.

Against all traditions and no doubt against the grain for many fellow site members I have decided that my Frame is going to be in Ducati Green, as used on the early 900 Hailwood replicas.

I am also going to get the wheels painted in the same colour through the centre with polished alloy rims.

So the question is

Anyone know the correct international paint colour code for this? I think it is known as Pantone Green? but cannot find a code as such.

If worst comes to worst I shall just use the colour seen in the Italian Flag so anyone know this code before I start searching the web for that?

Thank you one and all

No I have thought long and hard about this ...I've doodled and played with lots of ideas the frame is almost totally hidden so the parts that are on view will be lost in the panel paint scheme and as for the wheels well they are the centre of the bike so need to go with the flow and white is an absolute shite colour to have on the UK roads if ridden all year round and I am not doing them gold, bronze, silver or black.

I am open to persuasion if it costs too much though!!!

With red bodywork? Might look a bit like a Christmas tree ornament. :-)

Here's an interesting thread on green frame paint:

Ahhh should look very festive with a little bit of winter frost on it

Actually there is hardly any of the frame showing so it wont be that evident unless you are a purist the front end is being polished to match the swingarm and as it may be evident I am going tri colour with the paint scheme but have not yet decided on the exact percentages of colours I shall be using

I am following a theme you see
