Anyone out there happen to have their 907ie Headlight Shell out (maybe through rebuild etc) or a spare on the shelf.
I have an original ......maybe?
This was damaged in a previous owners accident and has a lower lug snapped off.
I have purchased a second hand one (from a 907ie) a while back and have noticed the shell is slightly different (appears larger). Lugs are in correct place though.
I have found another brand new and unused shell which is stated for the 907ie but it is not like that on the bike but like the spare I have already purchased.
So which is the right one. The parts catalogue is useless to identify it with as is the michrofiche at the local dealers.
I shall post photo's tomorrow as my camera isn't loading into photobucket tonight..

I have 2 headlight assy's , one is a CEV brand which is on the bike and the other is a Kotto which I bought as a spare , wildly different lookin things but both fit . I think the Kotto one is a much better lookin thing adjustment and reflector wise , but I havn't used it . The CEV one have a shit beam ... sorta all over the place , and a 100watt bulb/ relay didnt help . 1st pic is the CEV , 2nd is the Kotto

On my red 907 I have a CEV headlight, on the black 907 I have a Koito one.
Really, the CEV does'nt give a wonderful light, but the Koito is not so better...
Ciao

Many thanks folks it seems I have a busted Koito and a decent CEV. I do have a Xenon Bulb Conversion kit so hopefully the lighting wont be an issue.
The Koito seems to include a few other gadgets to fiddle with and a bit easier to set up. so think I may try and repair the damaged lug with a metal bracket as it is pretty much secure in the frame with the three bolted legs.
Again many thanks folks............ the forum folk do it again.

I have had some good successes fixing plastic things with polyester resin , seems to work on some plastics where araldite doesnt want to stick

hi, I have Xenon or HID in mine. The focus point is wrong so you won't get a great beam, but its very bright and much better in the day, as the glare is more easily seen from a wider angle.
Big improvement in safety, not much in night driving improvement

Hi Nigel I know what you mean I posted a long while back when it first arrived before my unexpectedly long rebuild. Some "pretty" photo's here. Bright White Light comes to mind.

Methacrylate adhesives work incredibly well.
I have a whole Koito headlight assy that is surplus to my needs, but shipping over the pond would be pricy. I swapped our for a dual bulb unit, something I would recommend.
