buying my first paso

) This summer I hope to buy my furst Ducati, a 750 or 90x Paso. Are there things a have to inspect before buying? Thanks in advance, greetz, Josti

Hey JostI! Well done, a Paso is a good idea!
Just get a tidy one from a good home. If it needs any modifications, for example in the carburation and electrics, you can make them.
There is a lot of information on the site about buying and improving the bike. Look through the Forum Indexes for topics.

WOW, I missed that guide previously... it's very interesting for who wants to buy a Paso... I wish I had it some years ago!

the 907 seems to be the bike to have acording to the ducati buyers guide. fuel injection takes most of the throttle responce problems away and the added capacity of 900 cubes over the 750 is a plus too. yea, i'm partial but did take the advise of the book and am happy with the 907. just another opinion and we all know about those.

The 907 is my first choice, but the 750 is much cheaper. I hope the 750 has enough power. I drove a standard 750 monster and I for me it did not have enough power. Can I compare these engines or are the completely different? Is there any tuning possible to give it more power or can I better wait a while and buy a 906?

750 monster is faster than 750 Paso, because of weight.
The engines are, in essence, the same (they are not exact though)
