Need bearing

Post by Markf »

I need to replace the crankshaft bearing that's in the left case cover on my 750. The part number is 751101747. My local Ducati dealer has it on order for me but it's 4 - 6 weeks from Italy and I'd like to have something sooner. If there is an equivalent bearing that would be good too.

Also looking for a starter motor pinion gear, 066050010.

Any help would be great!

Thanks, Jon. I did send BCM an email but I'll give them a call this morning.

I did an inspection of the bearing and came up with this information printed on it.

6003 C3
France
H
SKF or SKE

So if anyone knows an equivalent....

6003 c3 is a standard iso number for the bearing but it may have also something like "2rs" or "rs1" if it has also a rubber seal or a "2rz" for a metal seal. However in any spare parts shop it is aviable, just be careful in sharp fitting.

Bingo! I called BCM and they said it was 'a common bearing'. I called our local bearing supply shop and gave them the number. They had it. A quick trip to north Denver and $12 later I have the bearing. Thanks everyone!
