Ok, got the new parts, see plastic bags:

First I had to find a way to take the preload adjuster apart. Couldn't get the piston out. Solved the problem with a little piece of aluminium, see above on the left. Picture down installed:

Fitted new filter oil:

Made an alu block to clamp the axle. Heated the end eye bracket and managed to take it off (just turn it ccw):

Next the adjuster wheel that needs to be replaced. Again managed to take it off, but with a little surprise.. The ring behind the rubber adjuster wheel is damaged. Part is allready en route

Tx. Till a couple of weeks age I couldn't find allot of information about the öhlins and decided to take it apart myself. All the parts I needed where available. I'm still hopefull that it'll come together again. Still waiting for the spring with a fresh coat of paint.

Just out of curiosity Brutus, are the part numbers matching up with the spec sheet I posted ?
Looks like you're doing a great job,it will all go back together a lot easier than it came apart. J.

Brutus,Thats good that they match up.It means the information is most likely correct and up to date, for any of the other ohlins paso riders that need it. J.

It's been a long time since I've posted something on the forum the last time, but now I have a question.
Does anyone know where to find the spring 1099-05 and the hose 1042-04? (preferably within the EU)
I just had a DU-508 rebuilt but the shop who's an official Ohlins partner says they can't get these anymore.

I should have sent it to Finland then as the rebuilt cost €360 here. Also the spring isn't available anywhere in Germany. I'll have it powdercoated.
