Does any body know if the ignition swith off of a 907ie will fit a 88 750 paso ?

no, they are different. The mounting holes don`t match.

It worked. It just seats a little lower in the hole but it works. I added two (1 m.m.)washers under the mounting to align the lock hole with the pin. The electrical connection is the same and plugs right in. No modification is needed.

The ignition, tank and seat use three different keys. There is some information about key blanks in Registered User Menu (on the left of the screen) > Links > Ducati Paso technical sources > David Harvey's Paso Section - scroll down to 'Links' and find Ducati Owners Club of (GB) Parts Interchangeability List. There may be other leads to information in the same area.

thanks skins i just needed to know whether any of the locks were linked by a key... I need to replace a main ignition cylinder and having three different locks makes things much easier.

i guess i should be able to get keys made up from the lock numbers of the other items (seat and tank). not the easiest of tricks but there's no rush.

My '89 906 fuel cap does not have a lock on it, It does have the cagiva elephant so i assume it is original, did they come standard with a lock?

is the 906 ignition block the same as the 750?

I got the one off of a 907 IE and worked on my 750. I did not have to do any modification to the wiring and the lock worked perfect. The only thing is that the top of the switch will seat lower in the hole. One thing I noticed was that the wires used on the 907 IE switch are lower gauge wires, So I added couple of relays. I think the main reason for the switch to fail in the first place is the high current and that should be handeled by relays.

Main problem in 750 Paso is, that near all current flows thru one pair of small contact inside key lock, so better add main relay to circuit, like i have done, so then key lock lives much longer time

907IE dont have such problem, cause there ARE 2 relays already. As everybody know, 907IE have much better electrics, than 750 and 906
