Wheel Valve Stems

Evening All.

Has anyone fitted the right angle valve stems to there 907? The next thing on the list for the 907 is a new set of tyres, and was thinking of replacing the straight valves with the right angle type. Have a look at eBay Item number: 161022711747 if you are wondering what I'm on about.

The other $90 question, is what size is the hole in the wheel? There appears to be 2 sizes available, 8.3mm and 11.3mm, but which is the correct one? I'm siding with 8.3mm, but Murphy says if I buy that size, it will without a doubt be the other

Cheers.

Nick.

Nick, the auction is for the 8,3mm and it says in the text they will fit Ducati rims (Brembo, Marchesini, Marvic etc) and that the 11,3mm are for most jap bikes.

My neighbour put some on his BMW GS1200 and I will be getting some as well one day.

Hi G.

Yeah, read all the above on the auction. I guess I like to confirm everything twice, particularly by those that know.

Funny, since I posted the above, the item on eBay have all ended or sold? The 11.3mm valves are still there, but no 8.3mm.

B2 came with a set of right angle valves already in the wheels. I was converted the first time I put air in!

Cheers again.

Nick.

Ooooh that was close , I was just about to launch when I realised the 907 has different wheels/brakes  for those 906 guys reading this the right angle valve stems will hit the calipers if you have them at 90 degrees , which is sorta the whole point :)
