Thank you paso grand pooh-bah. The washer was stuck to the brake pump. I could not see it on the pump. I see you say not to clamp the brake hose. I went on ducatisuite, and they say to use hose pliers to clamp off pressure to the caliper, when changing the pads, to keep the caliper pistons from coming out further. Why should I not clamp off the hose? Will the hose pliers damage the hose? Just curious.
Regards, Paul

That`s a new one. Why would the pistons come farther out unless you pull the lever?!paulmozzi wrote:I went on ducatisuite, and they say to use hose pliers to clamp off pressure to the caliper, when changing the pads, to keep the caliper pistons from coming out further.
As far as the copper/alu seals. They may work a second time but they do slightly deform when tightening so it`s generally better to replace them. They do cost a few cents only anyway.

The only thing I can think of, is he is saying the pressure in the line will cause the pistons to come to come out slightly when you remove it from the disc. I am going to look for some washers tonight on my way home from work. Thank you again for the info.

Re: Rear brake light switch?
Some info on the rear brake light switch. As member Derek mentioned previously MDINAITALIA.co.uk has them available. I received and installed this switch from them last week. A couple of new washers, system bleed and I was good to go.
