I wonder which sealant is best for assembling the left-side engine cover.
Actually I use Arexons Motorblack, but I read on some forums that a gel sealant is much better than a sylicon one, because "It goes on a bit tacky and will hold a gasket in place extremely well, for assembly. It allows separation with ease and if kept clean, it will allow reassembly without reapplication and you can use the vehicle immediately". The author of this commet suggest to use "HYLOMAR®* HPF Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant".
So, what do you think about?
Are there any products by Loctite or Arexons similar to Hylomar?

Ducati uses 3-Bond on the engine cases and cover instead of gaskets now. Yamaha calls the same product Yama-Bond. In the states we can get the gasket from:

I heard just some dyas ago from my 888 friend, that Ducati DONT have(use) anymore paper gaskets and they use some red silicon seal, etc, what You can but quite cheaply from Ducati dealer. I need also that very soon, so if i remember, ill post results, what i can get
ps. if use thinner gasket, remember to "reshim" at least another pick-up! (in 907IE) Pick ups are very important to be in right dimensions. In 907 and 888 it must be 0,75-0,8mm
