prototype sport

Hi
I was looking at an old video clip of 851 on youtube. If you search on:
"Test 851 Racing Tricolore Misano 1988" on youtube you wil find it.
In the clip you will also see a bit of a F1, Paso and a close-up of a what i believe is a 750 sport at 1min 43s. It has a grey or silver frame. I have never seen that. Is it a prototype or a preproduction model?
Anyway smoking was not a big deal in 1988 even for a sportsperson like Lucchinelli!
