Hi Paso friends, just a quick note:

I will be visiting Tuscany area (Italy) from August 13 to 22, with my 750 of course.
I know it's beach and family vacation time, but anyway was wondering if any Paso pilot will be in the neighborhood? Would be great to meet and have a few drinks together.

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter,
I am based in Rome but there is a possibility I'll be wondering around Southern Tuscany-Northern Lazio in those days,
My Paso is not yet ready for long distance , I am still working on a few bugs from the long storage.
Let me know your schedule, if you get close enough I may just hit the freeway and meet you for a drink

cheers
Paolo

Hi Paolo, seems like my previous reply somehow disappeared.. I am using a tablet, maybe my bad.
Anyway, am currently in Montalcino, Sienna and tomorrow going towards Amalfi.
If convenient for you also, I let you know our route later or in the morning, maybe we can meet.

Cheers

Peter

Peter,
it looks like you got a good day of riding ahaed of you.
If you elect to stay off the freeway (...i hope) I would suggest to come down on SR2 coast the Bolsena lake, Viterbo, Vetralla, Bracciano, to join the GRA ring of Rome.
On the other side of Rome the most scenic route is the SS7 Albano Laziale , Velletri , Cisterna, and join the coast in Terracina.
You looking at some 3.5 hrs to Rome and another 4 hrs to Amalfi vs some 5hrs total of pure freeway.
I have been called for work therefore tomorrow I got kind of a busy day getting ready to leave but I can brake loose for a coffe at a gas station on the GRA or somewhere in the vicinity of Rome.
I'll send you my ph nbr on pm so you can text me.

Happy riding!!!
Paolo

Hi all, finally decided to write a few words about our recent moto trip to Italy.

It always takes some time, to realize you are back, and it always gives me a mixed feeling.
Well, we had a great time, about 4000km of riding, and most of it away from autostrada.
Central Italy countryside is just beautiful, been there many times, never enough.
Mountain curvy roads, picturesque villages, wine and prosciutto. Weared out tyres, finally!

Paolo, thank you for the hospitality, we really enjoyed our short stay (hope more next time) in Roma.
It was our first ever meeting with another Pasisti! (or Pasionisti :-) ), maybe we can call it first pan-European Paso meeting, ha-ha! it was for us anyway.
Mey and me send our best wishes to Simona and you, and we expect to see you soon, on our side of the Adriatic sea.

Our white Paso, performed flawlessly, not a single hickup. The scooter tyres :-) are Ok after all, no complains.
Riding all day without getting tired, grip end bars improved the vibration problem a lot, no numb hands.
I will actually upload my modification soon.
Seat comfort, well this is what GT (grand tourism) means.
We are back home now, safe, happy, full memories and with a few new friends.

Promise to add some pics, asap.

Keep riding!

Peter

Hi my fellow Pasionisti,

as promised some pics from last trip to Italy.
So many new roads, vistas and impressions.

We had a really great time.
Don't know how much time I will personally need to accommodate all the memories.
Looking at pics, looks like a dream, a sweet dream.

Take care and stay on the road

Regards

Peter

Thank you guys, for your kind comments. You are right about the area and people, it's was truly amazing!
Now, only pictures and sweet memories.
I get myself smiling, as I look over at my beautiful white PASO, standing a few meters away.
Seems like she's smiling back to me.. La vita e bella.

Already, dreaming about next time.

Ride on
