Removing engine bolt for changing the oil

A small question. The bolt at the bottomside of the engine, the one
you have to turn lose for letting the oil off the engine, can you turn
it loose with a allen wrench nr 10 or 11?

On my Paso the bolt has been removed several times in the past, and I have the impression you must remove the bolt with a nr 10 allen wrench but the wrench just doesn't fit thight anymore.

Does anybody have an idea? Is this bolt still available at the
Ducati Stocks ?

Thanks, Ducaddicted

10mm is the correct size, Ducaddict, and it's usually a loose fit. The original plug is a very good quality fitting, and it should take the torque OK. I got a new plug from my local Ducati dealer a couple of years ago. He tells me the plug is common to other motors, and should be available.

I always place a peice of Flannel over the Allen Key before inserting it into the Drain plug. this takes away the slop & ensures that I am not rounding off either plug or wrench.
