No need to apologise mate. At least you have a genuine reason...I'm just slack.

With all the things that have happened, I hope you're getting better.
The Cobra is awesome btw. I'm sure the sound matches the looks.
Which reminds me. Hamish, what ever became of your V8 Capri? (A bit of topic, sorry. Just curious)

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Thanks guys , I'll get my shoulders fixed and finish the bike to a nice standard, plenty of good riding days to come I'm only 61 years young , all the bikes are on chargers and laid up insurance cover as I won't be fit to ride for 12 months or so. I will also start up the bikes at different intervals but I found the fcrs leave the ducati really hard to start, wondering if I should have gone with some dellortos with chokes, I tend to jump before I think sometimes.

Shoulders must be something that happens to 61 yo's. My right one is playing up. I'm hoping it's just shoulder impingement. If I hang by the hands it seems to feel better. Hanging is supposed to be a 98% fix for shoulder impingements.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Long job list on right shoulder for surgeon, 12 mth recovery estimate, left surgery not done yet, has to be done though. I've been looking through the threads to see if I can get some info on getting the fcrs to start easier but no luck so far, I guess that's why the sticker on the side of carbs says ,race use only, waha. Can't really do much on the bike atm, pretty annoying feeling a bit useless, good thing it's winter and crap weather and I have Netflix

Work has resumed on the 89 , preparing the tank for paint and retrofitting all the fairings and seat base for marking of the pin stripes. The bodywork is fitting pretty well this time around, minor adjustments.

Finally together enough to mark the lines for the white section, I need to get the tank in red then I will do these white areas, anyway I'll keep moving forward.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Been getting into the painting and pretty happy with the progress, both colours and a couple of coats clear which I will let harden for a couple days and then do the pinstripes and decals . Most of it bar the tank sat for a long while in red and clear, so basically I had a few little touch ups on that and paint to the tank then clear those touch ups and tank. That was yesterday and I masked up and got the white on today then cleared the white. Little bit of orange peel which I'm hoping to lose with a very light sand and clear coat over the decals, left shoulder surgery in janso hoping to complete the old girl before then.
