You really need to check level with bike upright i made a stupid mistake early this year and overfilled................pasos DO NOT LIKE BEEN OVERFILLED

I believe the official way is to keep your bike upright, not on the stand or jiffy; not easy to check the level when you're alone...

So I use the centerstand, never had problems...

Thanks for the replies. I am not sure what happened but somehow I over filled by one quart! I put it on the center stand and filled to the proper level.
