Help for GIVI wingrack

Post by persempre907 »

Hi everybody,
I have bought on ebay a used GIVI wingrack for 2 side panniers for my Paso 907.
But I don't know how to mount it and if they are all parts for fitting.
Someone can tell me how do it?
Many thanks.

I think GIVI are a very good company. If you contact them I'm sure they will be helpful. Have you looked at their website?

Your English is very good, Francesco!

Are you sure the rack was designed to fit to a 907? If so, it should not be too difficult to find see how to fit it, even if some parts are missing, and you have to make up a few parts yourself.

Is there a motorcycle shop nearby who can help you?

Ducati have sayed, that they can deliver 10 years spare parts to they bikes, not longer! Thats why it start to get very hard to find parts to Pasos.

That is most important reason, why i bought ST4S

I've bought my 907 in last May and, since some part needs to change, I'm often going to the Ducati official dealer.
I've not had sensation that actually they are problems for the spare parts.
Only for the cover of the dashboard they have said to me that is available only the entire item even if the cover was indicated as spare part in their list.
If someone have some problem with some spare part,I can try to ask to the local italian dealer.
Bye everybody.

That's great, Franceso. I think the dashboard cover is going to be the biggest problem for owners. I take it Cagivas never came out with the same instrument case? If we could find out where the injection molding tool for the case cover is, I'm sure we could acquire it without too much trouble. Then, I'm sure a small production could be organised.

I hope you can get your Givi rack to fit. Good luck!

No, Cagiva don't ever mount the Ducati dashboard.
We would can to ask to "Veglia Borletti", the italian company that built the dashboard.
Bye.

Francesco, Can You make any connection to Veglia Borletti and ask that thing by mail, or calling, cause its very importand thing to many Paso owners??? It can be best, if some Italian guy start to ask that tool to make one patch of those instrument covers....We can make list, how many need them, but surely very many want one for working and one for spare part for future... They cant be very expensive....
