I would want to mount the Monster mufflers on my 907.
But I fear damages to the motor.
Can you tell me if it's possible?
Ciao.

Only way I can think of that it could do real damage to the engine is if it leaned it out quite a bit. I'm not familiar with the mufflers you're talking about so can't really say if that's likely.

I'm not sure if there is a Power Commander or some such thing available for the 907, but that would be one soultion to any problems, assuming you can find someone to develop a fuel/ignition map for it then.

If the mufflers you are refering to are a straight through, "race" can design, then you could get a stage one chip from one of the typical sources and be fine.

Buy FIM chip and also FIM additional memory board to save all changes to fuel/air map, then You have enough good things to put whatever pipes to Your 907IE  P7 ECU need memory board,if You change map and WANT TO SAVE it, if ignition power is turned off from U bike. Read more from FIM sites on web.

It seems to me not easy.
I will try to read something about FIM.

If You change from normal pipes to open ones, You HAVE TO adjust fuel/air mixture to more rich, or Your exhaust valves CAN burn!!!! I have seen some such cases, so be careful, what You do to Your baby

It's so!
But the OEM monster mufflers would not be open.
What you think about it?

So, WHAT does it help if change another set of resistive mufflers??? I would change to open ones, open K & N with snorkels away, new FIM chip (&FIM memory board)with tuning to get more hp's from engine... At least i did that and also some more.... ST2 cams, ported heads, 1 kg away from flywheel, STM 48 teeth light clutch, bigger rear sprocket.... Btw, quite light front of bike these days during acceleration
