I need to replace the timing belts on my new to me 1988 Paso. I've watched the videos (including for valve adjustment, with I also intend to do), have the manual, and feel pretty confident about the process. My question has to do with parts, namely, from whom should I order? I can be a bit dense, but looking at various possible parts sources it's unclear to me if all of the idler/tensioner bearings are still available? And further, at just over 7,000 miles, should I expect to replace them? I appreciate that there's an age factor to consider, but experience with my 1983 and 1974 Laverdas suggests high quality bearings in most applications. It's been stored inside its entire life. Regardless, would appreciate any opinions on what to expect to replace and best sources for parts. Thanks!

Dude , if you have a bit of mechanical savvy you will know how to check a bearing for roughness . I carefully picked the seals out of mine flushed out old grease and repacked them ....probly didnt need to. Far as I know all the belt drive two valve motors have the same tensioner bearings so they should be available ......probly not cheap

Yeah, I do know what to feel for, I guess it was more of a "what to expect" question, which in hindsight is kind of a stupid question; I'll find out when I finally check. I've done the seal removal/regrease on other bearings with success, as well.

Ducati parts are expensive, but there are altertives. The two bearings on the moving tensioner are available from bearing shops . The other wide, small dia bearing might be a bit harder ,I have often thought of finding a cheaper option but .......never got round to it
