How do I rotate photos once attached?

My photos seem to invariably display upside down. I've tried rotating them in my photo viewer before posting them, yet they still display upside down; see my latest update on the repair of my cracked engine case. In an earlier post on the cracked case, paso 750 turned my photos around for me. How did you do that? I can't for the life of me figure it out.

:) Hi,
it'll depend on the program you use. You can rotate pictures with most programs but some don't save the change if you close them.
"Microsoft Photos" will save pictures in the position you changed them to. No need to do anything else. If you use Adobe Photoshop you need to click on "save file" as otherwise the rotated pic will remain as it was.

Ok, so you actually uploaded, modified, and then reposted my pics when you turned them around? Apparently my default photo viewer doesn't save the image in its new position once rotated, because that's exactly what I tried and it didn't work. The odd point is, the images always display right-side up in my photo viewer, it's only once they're attached that they turn upside down. I wonder if it's an Apple/Microsoft issue ...

"I wonder if it's an Apple/Microsoft issue ..." Its gremlins. They hang around Pasos sometimes. Try ringing a small bell as you upload images. :^)

Real nice work on the cracked case repair. Keeping the area pristine clean will prolong the adhesion of the epoxy to the metal and preserve the integrity of your repair. Your integrity is important to us. :^)

I downloaded the pics, rotated and uploaded them again after deleting the files attached to your posts.
Could be. It's possible that Apple adds an attribute that lets programs recognize the position of the pic. MS programs might not recognize it. But I'm guessing. I really don't know. Maybe try a picture editor instead of a viewer. If you have to save the file after rotating it, it should work also here.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I was out of town so slow to acknowledge. Posting a test pic now that I processed through my Apple editor. Have previously posted most pics using my work computer, which is MS. Pic is my Paso in the shop with a friend's Espada up on the lift. The Espada's been sitting for some years, but fired up and runs surprisingly well. Tires are at least 15 years old ... what a lovely car, but needs work ...

Takes work to keep it that way, that's for sure!
