Paso 750 - oil screen leak

Post by Mauricedonini »

Hi,

Recently picked up a 1987 Paso 750 which definitely needs some love. Suspect this will be the first of some/many questions for the experts here.

Annoyance #1 - there's a fairly significant oil leak coming from the oil filter screen. Pulled the oil screen out and replaced the crush washer with the correct part number with no improvement. The oil screen looked good.

Not sure if the issue is installation technique or a part(s) that needs replacement.

Also, what is the small screw directly below the oil screen?

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Maurice

Hope not, but worst case scenario is an overtightened oil screen which caused a hairline crack in block.
