i got this used stator for my 907
the 907 stator is supposed to be a 2 wire single phase stator.
on this one i can see a third wire which has either been cut out of the system, or this is how this stators are and the third wire is there just so the sleeve can fit better?
can someone verify if i have the correct one.
if it is what is the correct way to bench test it?
thanks in advance
is this the correct stator for a 907?

Not sure , but possibly a 906 .....they had 3 wires . Iircc the thing one does when the 906 gives charging problems is to chop off the 3rd wire and fit a later model aftermarket reg . So , I would hit it with an ohms meter and if it measures out ok fit it up .
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

Don't much see the point of acquiring a used(as in 30 plus years old)
stator when a brand new one is cheap and readily available from many sources.
