Hi,Ken from Grimsby Ontario Canada here, Seasons Greetings to all.
Here is a pic of my 1988 750
I have had it for 10 years.
Could anyone explain what the small slotted pin/set screw to the right of my spark plug is?
I have been unable to find any views with info on the plug side of the head.

Re: Trying to learn
Sharp looking 750 Ken, nice to see you hang on to it.
I’ll offer a guess on that set screw - someone more knowledgeable can correct me - that it’s a plug for an externally drilled oil galley.

Re: Trying to learn
With the red and white color scheme it looks like a 906.That large modern Ducati logo doesn't belong on the front tho.
I agree with Janky59. It may have to do with the oil gallery on the bottom of the camshaft bearing.

Re: Trying to learn
Thanks for your help, and diagram posted.
I find it frustrating that the view, with all my itemized diagrams, are from the right side of the engine.

Re: Trying to learn
I'd have to agree, an oil galley. It's the only thing that makes sense. And great to see a new posting! It seems like it's been forever!
