hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and the bike. she's a '92 Paso, one owner from new until 2020, then sold to a neighbor. he sold it to me few weeks ago after only putting on 200 mile or so during his 3 years of ownership. he just puttered around the driveway am told. original owner has pics of un-crating the bike, and i actually got a side section of the original crate with the bike. pretty cool.
have original bill of sale, Title, maint records, original spare key and a full decal set.
the bike's in great shape with the exception of limpy rear blinker stalks and a small tank ding. the PO started the bike for me, sounds great w/the F1 pipes. mods include a Corbin seat in new condition, F1 pipes, Rick's VR, a Ducati performance chip that i will ask about sometime, a hard-wired Optimate charger and a new battery. have maint records, with valve checks done less than 3K miles ago. i brought the bike home, picked up some belts and will install them due to age, not miles. i won't start the bike until new belts are on, have had 4 ducs over 12 years.

Re: new owner here
That’s quite the gem you found, great documentation and nice backstory.
Was it a Vermont bike starting with the original owner?
Post up a pic of the crate, that would be cool to see.
Welcome aboard.

Re: new owner here
so i've made some progress on the usual maintenance items, mainly the 12K service.
she's currently at 19.5K miles with the valves last checked 17K so we're good there. so far i've: changed the drive belts, changed the plugs, drained some coolant and refilled, rinsed out the coolant reservoir, snugged up coolant line clamps as needed, replaced the air filter, fab'd some air intake tube mouse guards, installed the missing gas cap and tank vent lines, flushed the clutch and front/rear brake fluids, checked the front and rear calipers for sticking/pad condition and set up preliminary suspension settings. i've replaced the drooping rear blinkers with aftermarket until i can source OEM stalks.
i still need to change the fork oil, check/clean the clutch pack, and check engine compression.
i'll bring the drained tank to my local duc shop and have them replace the fuel filter over the winter, and have them sync the throttle bodies next spring. i also need to replace the front brake switch { supplied by PO } and change the fork oil.
even though i was pretty happy with the cleanliness behind the panels, i still spent way too much time cleaning behind them. i did find that the PO had recently replaced the chain and sprockets, going +2 on the rear. happy w/that!
mouse guards, just in case.
