906 fairings to 907IE?

Has anybody done that??? and if have, then: Is there any problem with that modification? I know very well, that front upper fairings are different in 906 and 907IE, but seems, that 906 front upper fairing have same connection system, as in 907IE. All info will be helpful. Thanks

I am planning to have a definitive answer for you over the next couple of days.
Started stripping my 907 bodyworks recently but the weather has me stalled. Have a ride in coming up next Saturday so i will try to fit my 906 covers. At first glance the tank mounts appear to have different spacing but should have details in the next couple of days

Yes it fits without any major issues just a bit tighter on the screw fixings, I also have a 906 front fairing with a smoked screen which I have used in the past. and although an after market unit and slightly thinner than the original that also fitted without issue.

The tank is part of the fairing and its different than that of a 907 , no internal fuel pump

Question was will the 906 fairings fit a 907. tank internals do not matter. answer is yes they fit but some of the screws may be tight which will be true just going from one bike to the next
