92 907ie. No doubt a simple question/answer for this esteemed group, is this an indication of a failing voltage regulator?

Sometimes flickers, sometimes illuminated continuously.

it is certainly an indication that you need to look into charging

Yup, thanks, I suspected that, just wondering if anyone else has faced the low rpm charge light specifically and if that meant this was indicative of a failing regulator, or problem with the rotor/stator or some other part of the charging system (I'm a former outboard mechanic, and the systems are similar, but in those days few OBs had a charge light).

Get stuck in with a multi meter , you maybe lucky enough to find a bad earth or connection .

Checked all voltage regulator connections, all were clean and tight. I get voltage increase with rpm increase, at idle it isn't charging, 12.45. Battery is new. At about 2500, it goes to 13.00. I've ordered a new VR. What should the proper voltage be at about 1000 rpm?

Completed voltage regulator replacement, required some wiring modifications, I had to make an adapter to go from male bullet to male bullet. Voltage is now back to normal.
