Electrical Gremlins

Recent trip on an aging classic(not) and had several issues but one in particular had me buffed.Turned out that some di-electric grease on the plug to the fuel pump module solved the issue. After traveling 6000kms, the bike started to cut out shortly after traveling on some wet road in 36deg c temps, thought ignition? As this happened a few times on the journey that day when ever things got wet so after some "on the side of the road"mechanical exploring, nothing could be found/resolved.
When i found something resembling civilisation, i sourced a fuel filter, still nothing! All the electrical plugs "looked"ok no corrosion or loose fittings. When i was buying the fuel filter i spotted a tube of di-electric grease & thought it would be handy to pack as i had still a long way to go and this bike was proving to be a "challenge". As i like to only do one change or issue at a time the grease on the one plug was the last remedy in the saga and the bike ran mint for the duration of the trip, until it didn't! The next issue was the alternator wire plug going thermal nuclear meltdown some weeks later(ala paso).
The cut out of the engine turned out to be the ECU recording an out of range circuit resistance reading on the fuel pump power feed wire and was cutting the power then it would fire back up(auto reset kind of thing)every few seconds.
