Replacement nut for trip meter reset knob

The panel nut that retains the trip meter reset knob in the dash panel on my 907ie went bye-bye on a ride a few days ago.
The nut is only available as part of the speedometer assembly.
A quick check showed the 907ie knob threads appear to be 14mm wide and 1.0 thread pitch.
I found this thread about somebody looking for a 1996 SS/SP trip meter reset nut, which lists the dimensions as M14 x 1.0 x 4mm. So, it seems this reset knob is common among 1990's Ducatis, but similarly unavailable.

This is a very uncommon M14 nut. You won't find it at Ace Hardware or O'Reilly's. McMaster-Carr only had 1.5 thread pitch, 7mm high. Then I found an M14 x 1.0 x 4mm nut in packs of 5 on Amazon for $7 delivered the next day.

It fits perfectly! Problem solved. The original nut was black, so I will rough it up and paint it black.
