In the past year of having the Paso around, I've obtained a set of 65mm Brembo from calipers from a Monster. The 40mm spacing calipers were a bit more expensive as I got these with the master cylinder for $150. I saw they did make an adapter for the 40mm calipers but I couldn't find a definitive answer if the offset was the correct one for the stock Paso brakes and 16" wheels. With that in mind, I opted to use my 3D printer and design/ print out a set of mounts for the 65mm ones. As you can see it fits quite nicely. My only concern here is, how far from the edge of the brake rotor should the pad sit? The new pads won't go as far close to the center of the rotor so I don't have to worry about intentionally too far away but I wonder, is there a standard or an ideal amount it should sit away from the edge? I might change the design up to sit a little closer, maybe a millimeter or two but otherwise I'm a bit happy. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The adapters look the ducks nuts. From the photos, the friction material of the pad looks to be about central to the brake surface of the disk, so you would have to assume maximum brake force is applied to the disk. As the adaptor is from a 3D printer, I assume the material is plastic? Will the material be able to handle the temperatures the brakes will give off with a bit of spirited riding? A soft/melted adaptor wouldn’t be a good thing to have.
