bar end mirror install
bar end mirror install
I just bought some bar end mirrors but don't know how to extract the bar plug. I'm a nut about retaining all things I remove from my bikes and I don't want to damage or destroy the plug in the process of installing the mirrors; does anyone out there have any experience with this procedure??
Regards,
Randy

Not sure whether you're talking about attaching to the fairing or the bar ends. Do you mean removing the stock mirrors and adding ones that extend farther from the fairing?persempre907 wrote:The first Paso mirrors had the plug in fixing.
The last mirrors are the same of Cagiva Freccia C9 and they are fixed to the fairing.
You must to screw the 3 nuts!
Ciao.

I actually rather enjoy looking at my elbows or the mrs' knees when she accompanies me ...
But I think the ends might need to be drilled out, same as on my 750. I went to install a pair of bar-end weights when I took it off the road a couple months ago, and those end-plugs weren't budging without invasive surgery, unfortunately.
I haven't drilled them out yet, either.

Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.

Look down at the bottom of this url and it looks like bar end mirrors that use a clamp on the outside of bars. No need to drill.
