Hi everybody,
I have bought on eBay from a canadian seller a couple of stock mufflers.
The seller has shipped to me also a chip (n. 91270201A) that increases the performances of 907 ie USA.
On the attached paper I can read that: "With these modifications you'll change the data submitted for the motorcycle type approval; therefore use the modified motorcycle only within closed tracks".
On the chip it's a label: "DUCATI 907ie -023U-".
Could I use it on my european 907? How does much would be the performances increase?
Ciao.

That is NORMAL USA chip for 907IE, and that chip is designed to tune engine MORE LEAN, than normal 907 Chip, what is marked -023- That "U" means, that its USA chip. Its safe to use that with EURO bike and with normal mufflers, but it is NOT so good, as EURO chip)-023- ; what is more rich mapped. Dont use ever that USA chip with open muflers, or then You have maybe big problems with burned exhaust valves! You are warned now!

Therefore, this chip wouldn't give more performances. Only more troubles  !!
Thanks Antti

Yes, not anymore horsepower, cause more lean fuel ratio, than in normal EURO chip -023-. Near allways USA Ducatis have been fitted with leaner chips, cause there are tighter emission rules = leaner fuel ratio. So, NO "RACING chip", i am sorry, Francesco!
