Re: Sitting at Kyneton
obviously hard to diagnose over the internet ...but doesn't sound like fuel pump... I know the pump has to die some time...but to coincide with a fuel stop is odd. The pump doesn't always run when you turn the key...the pump doesn't crank over unless the line pressure is down...and the bike would us...

Re: idling adjustment
George, the Bowden cable screws are like idle mix screws on a carburetor..they only let air in to the manifolds (one for each). you could stuff around with them and the idle mix potentiometer on the ECU and get a reduced RPM result... but that might also be a flat spot between idle mix and open thro...

I have a few of various hoses...all "genuine"...
let me know what you need...
Brisbane Aust...
if it's the 3 way on right hand side it's a problem...better off to change to a filler cap system.
I can probably give you a few options on how to do it...
cheers.

Re: Fast Idle set to 25% or won't idle
torpedo, Mate - yes I can appreciate your problem... when I acquired my 907 it had a hesitation/miss at 4,000 RPM...it had just been "tuned" (according to the previous owner and receipts) I called the shop that did the work - they said the 907 was "too complex" for them - but had...

Re: Fast Idle set to 25% or won't idle
a healthy "standard" bike would be around 38 - 40 MPG with normal cruise; fanging it might drop it to low 30's. if it has a FBF or after-market chip it could be as much as 10% lower (add fuel = more horsepower theory) yes, you can check the TPS without all the other stuff. I still strongly...

Re: Fast Idle set to 25% or won't idle
despite the fact the bike seems to run well at least check compression first; if the compression is OK that is probably the best selling point to a prospective buyer in the market for a 907; it will also prevent wasting time tuning if the bike is failing a compression test. if it really does run wel...

Re: Fast Idle set to 25% or won't idle
potential buyers are always right...if they don't agree they won't pay. at 42 MPG and the lack of "go" at low revs it's not running "right"; most likely lean AND the TPS not adjusted correctly. the bikeboy tuning guide is the way to go to do it correctly; assuming no other mechan...

Re: Garage Stand for 907ie
while the bike is on the centre-stand put a bag of cement on the back of the seat..
this will take the load off the front.
you could also tell your wife that you're taking her for a ride and to wait for you on the pillion seat...
ask her if she enjoyed the ride when you get home.

Re: I wrecked my 907 this past weekend!
haha!! genius ideas from the think-tank down-under... make the side stand the key!! that way you MUST remove the stand before you can start the bike...problem solved. if the stand is in the way (restricting your greater viewing while riding pleasure) you can use a convenient milk crate on the seat t...

Re: I wrecked my 907 this past weekend!
commiserations...scary stuff, too... I had a 500/4 Honda that had a "proppy" side-stand. it was positioned so if you tried a left-hand it would high-side the bike... my experience was a fast left sweeper - then that "holy fuck" feeling when the bike is obviously scraping and won'...
