Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.
Well, latest is a RWC.... pretty happy about that. I have a note from Vicroads stating I dont need a Victorian Safety Scheme (VASS) engineers report...VERY happy about that. I have filled and forwarded all the club permit paperwork. Its cool to look at the photos when it was in bits in the shed, and...

Re: Exhaust Headers
Thankyou for the reply Gents. The current headers on mine are 'orrible and leak. They dont have the cross over. I'm thinking I may get a custom set made up. a new 2 into 1. I'll see what the cost will be, see what overtime I can scrounge. Whilst at it I'll probably get a new muffler. The one one the...

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.
OK! Here we go! I have a RWC, FFS what a relief. I'm in the process of getting club rego. For a complete newbie its been a fairly stressfull journey. When I get the chance I will post a few photos of the finished product. After a while I will put the "noisy" muffler back on. The standard o...

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.
Hi all, Been a while. My account went haywire. I did find a dodgy message in my prvate inbox that may have something to do with it. Anyway, the bike is done, serviced and running prety good. Have a RWC booked in a couple of weeks, should be fine....then club plates. I'm fiddling with the rear hugger...

Re: 750 Sport swingarm crack
I have my bike getting the header and a standard exhaust modified to fit. I''l have a chat with Carl (who's doing the work) in the next couple of days and see what he reckons. Have a look at Tig Tag Fabrication, thats his place. As he has my bike I will be able to show him an actual swingarm and whe...

Hey All. She's back together. Starting can be a bit of a trial, but once running...Nice! Getting a crappy standard muffler fitted to hopefully please VicRoads (
). Photos to come soon. When warm idle is around 2000, a bit much but is going in for a full service with Brad.

Re: Another fuel line Q
Breather for the battery was mentioned. A bit of research and it seems older batteries did have a breather, so I'm guesing that is what it is

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.
Been a while. Bit busy. Today the carb was finished off and air box/new filter put on. Rebled the brakes with a vacuum pump. Then, did the final touch the old fashioned way. I'm not convinced about the vac pump. The old way seems better. I had to clean out the fluid reservoir at the front. Brown slu...

Re: Fork Service/Rebuild
There is a lot of 40mm seals out there. Is it anything for a 40mm marzocchi fork? The genuine part number doesnt seem to generate a set.

Fork Service/Rebuild
Geez I'm posting a bit here :P So with the wheels on I gave the front a push. Suspension went down and came back up but without much enthusiasm. No leaks/marks on the forks, just doesnt feel great. Maybe with me on boaerd riding it may feel better but the bike is a while away before it hits the road...

Re: Cleaned up Carb
So off each side of the carb, into the T and then down the LHS of the bike into the box of tricks at the back. Bottom RH corner, that's the pipe connection

Cleaned up Carb
Bit of a diiference between straight off the bike to the ultrasonic cleaned version! New service kit and float installed ready to go back on the bike. Niow, I've made a real rookie error...I didnt photo everthing and as its been weeks since the carb was removed I forget how the fuel lines went. I th...
