Re: The White P750
Dunno if it helps Nick but my 900ss had two oil coolers like the P750 and unless it was a hot day the thing over cooled unless you were hammering it and in winter I took one cooler out of circuit ( un -plumbed it ). I think the P750 temp gauge is the same one as the 906 just has "oil" writ...

Re: I brought home a 750 Sport
My 900ss had an oil pressure warning light ... whilst riding every so often Id see a flash of red in my peripheral vision ...down by the dash lights , so quick I could never be exactly sure , couldnt fault the motor , worried about brief loss of oil pressure .....turned out to be me nudging the side...

Re: Low outut from alternator
The red wire goes to the end of the two yellows where they join , mine is connected to the reg because it was when I bought the bike , man ,that was the start of my Ducati education , never had another vehicle that needed so much "sorting " admittedly a lot was "previous owner '"...

Re: Low outut from alternator
alt ac output should be 40 - 50vac at 3000rpm and about 75vac at 5000rpm . Im pretty sure my 906 alt has 3 wires , 2 yellows and a red , anyhows you probly need to get an ohms meter onto the alt windings , they should be pretty low at 1 - 2 ohms and there should be no continuity to earth

Re: I brought home a 750 Sport
Paso shouldnt be awkward shifting ....probly need to have a look at the clutch , they gotta be clean , any black marks on the drive plates will make it sticky , but a well sorted gearbox/clutch should be the proverbial hot knife thru butter . Even the chain condition/tension will affect it .

Yeah Im still here 😁, pulled the covers off my bikes and gave all the bits likely to rust a bit of an oil up , fork stanchions ,mufflers etc My biggest worry at the mo is that last time I run the Paso up I had coolant leaking out of that drain hole on the water pump . Re: fairing fasteners
I bought 6mm aluminium black anodised screws ...with the big heads off an outfit we have ( had?) in NZ called Eurobike years ago . I think quite a few bike makers use similar . One thing I do when looking for bike parts is to go to the loval bike shops and have a look at what the new bikes are using...

Re: Sprocket carrier bearing removal
Cool . Be aware that sprocket bolts are well known to come loose and carve a chunk out of your swing arm . You may think you'd notice as soon as a bolt makes contact but apparently not , seems peeps usually dont and ride along oblivious to the carnage going on untill they are stopped and actually se...

Re: Sprocket carrier bearing removal
Depends on wether your wanting to fit new bearings or refit the old ones . If your fitting new you could just drive the old ones out with a punch and discard . If you want to re-use then you need to be a bit more careful and use either a bearing puller or a press . If you heat the carrier with some ...
