Clutch rattle is such a feature of Ducati that you need to share it. Hence the after-market clutch covers with all the cut-outs, holes, penetrations etc.
Let everyone hear it and share.

Yes Fraser,

That ching, ching ching noise is music to my ears.

Re: Sidestand/Centre stand springs

I have been thinking about this problem . I think that a electro magnetic or pneumatic actuator is the go here , maybe a small hydraulic ram that runs off engine oil pressure, and if you are really cunning .... you could opperate these by remote control :P :P  http://i801.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: clutches and coils

Quite normal as the clutch starts to wear. From time to time remove the clutch cover and blow out the area with compressed air to remove the dirt and clutch plate dust.

Dry clutch noise is all part of the experience of riding a Ducati

Cheers

Re: "metallic" noise 750 PASO

Get yourself a rubber hose, small to medium, Hold one end up to your ear and move the other end around the left side of the motor, transmission area. See if you can locate the worse sounding area. This would be of course if you did not find the problem with a visual inspection. Check the cam area, T...

Re: NZ's newest Paso owner - bike has arrived

Can anyone tell us how many kms to expect out of a rear sprocket? CB I clean my chain when doing oil ,valves etc at about 4000km. I clean chain with supercheap degreaser and a paintbrush , then rinse with hot water and then apply spectra chain wax (reapplied every 1000 od km's) . I want at least 20...

Re: Sidestand Down Switch

Yes,

I know several people who have dropped their Ducati's because of the self-retracting kick stand.

Francesco, I have a 750 Sport, no down switch and no warning light. But I was thinking about wiring in one now that I have the newer kick stand.

Re: Sidestand Down Switch

For future reference.

I picked up a later model kick stand and down switch for $40.00 on ebay. Since the 750 sport does not have a down switch I will not use it. But I guess you could wire in a instrument cluster light as a warning.

Yes,

I think it is idle chatter. I do have an account, but do not use it much. But I have had people from the past us it to contact me, so I guess it fulfills a purpose. But getting on every day and posting nonsense is not for me.

Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild

Thanks Jon,

I got my oven for free on Craigslist. My biggest expense was wiring in the 220 out in the garage. But with the plug now I can dream about the plasma cutter and tig welder. :)

Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild

Well I spent the last week-end powder coating and painting various parts. I have discovered a few tricks to powder coating. Pre-heat the parts that you want to powder coat. Then as you spray the powder on to the part it starts to melt and adhere to the part much quicker. Since I am using the Harbor ...

I did some searching on the web, This is what I found for adjustable cam pulleys. I do not know much about this company. The price looks good and they offer both lightened alloy and aluminum pulleys. Anyone have any more info on these folks? http://www.corsemeccanica.com/ducati_timing_pulleys.htm Th...
