750 rear shock

I have got a Marzocchi duo-shock unit for my 906 but this needs rebuilding so I have aquired this shock from the 750 and will attempt to shoe-horn it into the 906. Can send you a picture but not until the weekend.

Question about 750 rear shock

I am lucky enough to have bought a box fresh - unused rear shock (Marzocchi) for the 750 Paso. Just one question about adjustment. I know I can alter compression and rebound damping but the preload looks to be fixed. Can this be adjusted? I don't expect to have to do this but it is always nice to kn...

Yes I can see what you are getting at. I dont think the spacer will survive more than one bearing change so I might cut off the thin wall over the inner bearing face and make two slip on bushes.

Ps Didn't post this into the 907 forum because the 907 has a notably different front wheel.

Replacement of front wheel bearings

Do any Paso owners have tips for removing the front wheel bearings? It is made difficult by the bearing spacer that covers the bearing internally and prevents use of a punch.

Fan does not stop

Well I wouldn't be running a water cooled 750!, its a 906. When you say you are curious, do you mean the second radiator or just the electronic fan control?

Fan does not stop

I have a fully electronic controller for my fan because I run my Paso with two radiators so have had to ditch the standard bi-metallic switch. The circuit is a modified Velleman thermostat and I can vary the switch on temperature along with the switch on at - switch off at - setting (hysteresis).......

routine maintence paso 906

Routine maintenance is a pleasant subject for a Paso owner. Belts seem to last forever they only need to be adjusted once, shortly after fitting and I only change mine when I start to feel guilty about neglecting my parts supplier. I change the oil every year but what is more important is the grade....

Radiator size ?

The radiator measures 16" x 7.5" and is about 1.5" thick. It has two 1" pipes for fluid in and out but no car type rad filler cap.

Looks great! It being a Spondon I guess you are local to that area? Anyway, I am waiting for an mph speedo for my paso and when it arrives I will look at the radiator too.

The 906 clutch is dry so it will rattle. Get a set of 851 plates cause the 906 plates now have fibre friction material and I dont think they will last as long.

Generator

No, the generator will fail to work. The output is three phase and must be conected thus. I recommend a Kawazaki ZX600 unit.
